| | Mobile Device Center 6.1 and COM Surrogate error I was hoping that the new 6.1 release was going to solve my ongoing COM Surrogate error problem, but no. I have Windows Media 11 and Roxio for burning CD's. Nothing exotic on my Vista Business 32 Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop. Would REALLY like to be able to sync my HP iPAQ hw6945 and am VERY FRUSTRATED with trying to get through to Microsoft. Neither Dell nor HP have been able to help me and both refer me to Microsoft, but the WMDC help desk is only open during work hours. Have tried the Data Protection exemption for COM surrogate, but this doesn't help. Have uninstalled lots of programs and disabled others - no use. What's the problem???? |
