Vista - smaller icons on desktop possible?

We've just received and set-up a Dell E520 w/Vista Home Premium. I'd like to
make the desktop icons smaller, but haven't found how/where to do that. Any
help will be appreciated.

We were somewhat apprehensive about ordering a new computer w/Vista after
hearing quite a few horror stories, but so far I like the new features. We'll
see after we get everything set up.

right click on an empty space on the desktop,
the options are there in the menu that will pop up

Hold down the ctrl key. Rotate the mouse wheel.

With the Ctrl key held down, scroll the mouse wheel. One way makes
them bigger, the other smaller.

Yes, you hear of horror stories, but there are many users, myself
included who have no problems with Vista.
XP had it's share of horror stories, as did 2000 & NT.
