| | Error 2738 Hi. I've got Windows Vista and I'm trying to install Apple browser Safari for Windows. It doesn't let me open the install file. It says error 2738 almost at the end of the process . Can anyone tell me what this means? Thanks and greetings from Spain |

| | Re: Error 2738 If you've tried to download and install Safari on Windows, but got "Error 2738", here's the solution: Go and install latest VBScript engine from Microsoft or if the VBScript is already installed do steps described below: 1.. On the Start menu, click Run. 2.. In the "Open" field, enter the following command and click OK. regsvr32 vbscript.dll 3.. A message should appear stating that the "DllRegisterServer in C:\WINDOWS\system32\vbscript.dll succeeded." 4.. Click OK and try installing Safari again. | | Re: Error 2738 Thanks a lot for your help. I could do that and install Safari. Unfortunately the new browser is still full of mistakes. It shuts down every time I try to touch any other bottom and when I try to open pages from newspapers like La Vanguardia, El Pais or El Mundo, I cannot see bold letters and some links, probably because of some problem with the fonts. Anyway, thanks a lot for your help "Bill Yanaire" wrote: > If you've tried to download and install Safari on Windows, but got "Error > 2738", here's the solution: > > Go and install latest VBScript engine from Microsoft or if the VBScript is > already installed do steps described below: > > 1.. | | Re: Error 2738 Thanks Bill... I'm not trying Safari, but that helped me install QuickTime, which had the same problem. Only I had to run the cmd prompt as Administrator.
