Sorry for the late reply but the answer for the defender issue is
1. Goto Services.msc
2. Choose Windows Defender
3. Choose Automatic
4. Start the service.
That's it.
It will resolve the issue

Not MSservices.msc..
type services.msc into the search bar in your start menu, or go to Control Panel-Administrative Tools-Services.
