Clipboard

So what has happened to the clipboard in Vista? I had a few clips I saved as
*.clp files in XP and I see Vista dosen't recognise these extentions as
clipboard files. There seems to be a file called clip.exe in a windows sub
directory which you cannot open or save files with. Anybody know why this
useful facilty has been withdrawn in Vista?

Dunno, but you can copy clipbrd.exe over from an XP installation, which
works fine

Re: Clipboard

Hi Trevor,

Clipboard is still in Vista. It just doesn't have a separate viewer anymore. Instead, it is just a temporary memory hold until you Copy, Cut, Paste, etc. the item to wherever you wanted it. Why, I don't know. I liked the option of seeing what was in the Clipboard too, but now you have to use a 3rd party viewer to see it. Just do a Google search for some options. Be careful, make sure they are Vista compatible.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
