Re: vista and office2007

Sounds like Office 2007 was bundled as part of your OEM configuration and
was reinstalled from the hidden partition along with Vista?

Re: vista and office2007

If you purchased your PC with Office already installed and you re-installed
Vista from the vendor's "recovery" partition then it worked the way it was
supposed to. Most recovery disks or partitions (from vendors like Dell) will
restore your PC to what it was like when you first got it (i.e. with Office
installed, in your case). My guess is the applications you had to reinstall
are those that did not come with the PC originally.

Re: vista and office2007

Hmmm...any possibility "factory condition" included a Trial version of
Office? Where/when did you purchase the PC?

Marty

If you used "Restore to factory condition" then Office 2007 came bundled
with the PC. Restore to factory condition is only an option when you use the
OEM hidden partition or disk to restore the system. The version of Office
2007 on the system, after the restore, may not be the full retail version
that you purchased.
