WMP 11 tracks jump at the end of track

Hi this this driving me mad!!
When I play tracks that have been ripped into my library at the end of each
track it jumps. It jumps at the same place on every single song. I can tell
you exactly where each track will jump just by looking at the position of the
timer as it goes across the screen. When it gets near the end of a track it
distorts for a couple of seconds. (Like something is happening in the
background). This doesnt happen if I just play a cd. I have googled this
problem and a couple of other people are having the same problem but no one
seems to know how to correct it. Its really frustrating when Im playing
tracks, Im anticiapting it happen now everytime I play a track. My computer
is only a couple of weeks old and this problem has been there since day one,
but I was not conscious of it. Now it driving me crazy.
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Lorna.

If you have a Sigma Tel audio adapter, as a workaround, right click on the
Speaker icon in the Notification Area of the Taskbar, select Playback Devices,
highlight Speakers, press Properties button, on the Enhancements tab, DEselect
all enhancements.

Wait for Sigma Tel to update their drivers to resolve this issue.
