| | Help! My system has the irregular beating of the Telltale Heart I just installed Vista Ultimate onto an ASUS P5K-Deluxe motherboard-based system. Now the strange thing that's presenting the problem: Every 7-20 seconds (no regular period - it ranges) my system's speakers output 2 approximately 100-150Hz tones that sound like the Lub-dub sound of a heartbeat heard thru a stethoscope. I can't figure out what system process is causing these sounds. Furthermore, when I'm playing an MP3 file, the lub-dub causes a drop-out sound glitch in the music. Any diagnostic, troubleshooting suggestions and recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks, cc Reply to craig-at-sharrow-dot-com |

You need to start looking around for what might be interfering. -- Michael Solomon Backup is a PC user's best friend DTS-L.Org: http://www.dts-l.org/ |

| | Re: Help! My system has the irregular beating of the Telltale Heart Do you have a cell phone anywhere near the speakers? Specifically a Cingular cell phone? I had this problem also and found out that it was my phone that was the culprit.
