| | Does Windows Vista Accept Incoming Connections? Hi, In order to connect to a pc for remote connection and administration with Windows XP, I would use "Create New Connection" Wizard of Network Connections Panel. But I've not found nothing like that in Windows Vista. It seems that the only way of remote connection to a pc with Vista OS, is a remote connection through Internet. But it is so nonlogical for an operating system like Vista to have only one way of (Internet)/(Local Area) Connection for Remote Administration. So is there any way to make Vista Answer the phone like XP OS by Accepting Incoming Connections? Thanks, Roohollah Shafei, Managing Director of RasaGostar Javan Engineering Company, http://www.rasagostar.ir/ shafei@rasagostar.ir |

| | Re: Does Windows Vista Accept Incoming Connections? Windows Vista Home Basic and Premium can't be controlled remotely by Remote Desktop. You can remote to another computer from those versions of Vista, but they can't be remoted to using Remote Desktop. Try some alternatives like Live Messenger, logmein.com, realvnc, or PC Anywhere. -- MAXIMUMpcguides.com Helping you get the MOST out of your Vista PC. -- "Roohollah Shafei" <shafei@rasagostar.ir> wrote in message news:uwojfnwsHHA.1208@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > Hi, > In order to connect to a pc for remote connection and administration with > Windows XP, I would use "Create New Connection" Wizard of Network > Connections Panel. | | Re: Does Windows Vista Accept Incoming Connections? Lang, Maybe they want to monitor the IT group . You know, those scrawny suspicious-looking, bandwidth-using, pale complexion folk. I'm telling you, the IT guys are using up all the bandwidth pirating videos! If only we have a remote desktop connection to catch them ![]() Wes |
