Vista - Windows Mail and Stationary

Ok - So one of the bosses bought a new laptop, after the "where have
Microsoft hidden it?" type problems, we fought with it to get it on the
network (Public/Private tsssssch). Set up Microsoft Mail (ooooh how pretty).
Everything works except the stationary.

Currently users load the stationary via the network in Outlook Express the
stationary is stored at \\server\email\background.htm The background is
fairly simple and contains one picture file which it picks up from the same
folder. This image is then embedded in the email and the recipient sees the
picture (company logo). We then try the same method on Vista and we find that
the outgoing email appears to have the logo, but the recipient just gets a
little red cross.

From the posts here it appears that a network loaded stationary is not going
to work as it has to be in the stationary folder? Thanks Uncle Bill, this now
means that I need to remember to add the stationary to every computer that is
added to the network.

I would appreciate it if someone could state a step by step guide to create
stationary on vista and confirm that it will work and embed the graphic into
the email, as this laptop is so slow (Celeron and Vista do not make good bed
fellows).

I get the feeling that Microsoft deliberately move functions to new
locations, change the terminology, and generally find new and interesting
ways to make things slower, just to annoy me.

A note to Bill - if it ain't broke, don't try and fix it.
A note to self - don't buy vista until the hardware catches up.

I suggest you search in the microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail newsgroup.
There has been some discussion re stationery there.

And since WM is so flaky, I wouldn't want to let my boss use it...
