Searching for files, content on replaceable media (CD)

I cannot figure out how to search for files and content of replaceable media.
Example I want to find "tabasco" (file content) on a recipe CD. Search - at
least the way I am using it - finds nothing on the CD although I know there
are files (text) that contain the text searched for.
I am using Vista Ultimate, I bring up Search > Advanced Search - Location >
DVD RW Drive ...
In Search Tools I have selected "Always search file names and contents
(might be slow)" I checked "Include non-indexed ..."
Enter search term click Search: Allm I get is "No items match your search."

(Searching on hard-drive location works like a charm.)

Can anyone help me?
