| | Can't sync Windows Mobile Device Centre with i-mate I have an SP5 and since I bought my new Fujistu LifeBook S6311 with Vista Business it will not sync at all. Worked fine with my old XP laptop with Active Sync. I have downloaded the new 4.2 version, still nothing. Any suggestions? -- Thanks |

| | Re: Can't sync Windows Mobile Device Centre with i-mate Darn it Wicky! I hate you! Stop posting bizzare, somewhat difficult issues =). Just kidding , that's what we are here for. I noticed you mentioned 'ActiveSync' and stated you have the 'latest version' 4.2?Windows Vista threw ActiveSync into the toliet. Literately. and they replaced it with something from the toliet (in my experience so far ) called 'Windows Mobile Device Center'. Latest version available here (6.1):Download details: Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows Vista (32-bit) Try syncing that with your i-mate. |

| | Re: Can't sync Windows Mobile Device Centre with i-mate I had the same problem. The unbelievable solution: 1. Borrow a PocketPC 2003 version from a friend, install it and sync it. 2. Install your new WM5 device, now it will sync. 3. Delete the partnership of the old PocketPC 2003 device Apparently, the WM5 and the PocketPC devices use a different set of drivers, and only the last ones fires the sync app for the first time.
