| | Print Spooler crash My Print Spooler service keeps crashing. This is after installing HP Universal PCL 6 driver for and Dell Laser Printer 5100cn PCL6 driver, both for Vista x64. I have since: - Removed the printers, crash still occurs. - Cleared out C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers, crash still occurs All I can do to just have an operating system that doesn't keep looping this crash message is disable the Print Spooler service altogether. But now I can't print! Jon |

First I removed the printers, then I removed the drivers. I could barely get to the Printers control panel because the Spool would keep crashing. The Printers control panel depends on this serivce. But I could get in there long enough to right-click and remove, restarting the Spooler service before each printer removal. Then I removed the drivers by clearing out the C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers and rebooting.
