| | Show Dial-up Connection on System Tray I'm new to Vista and am still trying to get use to it. I have DSL on a Local Network (shared with laptop), and use Dial-Up as a backup. In XP, when connected via the Dial-Up, the connection would be shown on the System Tray. So far, in Vista, it is not shown when connected. How do I get the connection to show on the System Tray in Vista when connected? |

Did you try: Right-click the "Notification area" (aka System tray) | Properties | Notification area tab | and check the Network box. ThePro |

| | Re: Show Dial-up Connection on System Tray Gumboman, I have Windows Vista Home Basic with DSL. The DSL icon in the system tray are 2 monitors one layered over the other. Have you tried Vista Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center? | | Re: Show Dial-up Connection on System Tray I have the DSL icon on the System Tray, but when I elect to use dial-up (as I do a lot when traveling), the dial-up network icon would also appears on the System Tray. If I remember correctly, in setting up dial-up connections in XP, there was options to show the connection on the System Tray and also an option to take priority over Network Connections. I'm trying to find those options in Vista. Thanks Charlie >On Sat, 23 Jun 2007 20:36:47 -0400, "Joe Leandri" <joeleandri@msn.com> wrote: >I have Windows Vista Home Basic with DSL.
