Vista Tutorial - page fault in non paged area

Question: What should I do?

- Throw this damn computer away?
- Recycle it?
- Donate it?
- wait for a while in hopes that someone will help me fix it?

Hi,

I have a HP desktop that originally came with XP but I installed Vista
a few months ago. The other day someone tinkered with my page file, for
reasons unknown, and now I haven't been able to boot up.

I have back up disks but the restore cd is damaged and unreadable

This is what the blue screen says..

CLFS.SYS
Page Fault in non paged area
STOP: 0x00000050 (0x8853F018,0x00000000,0x8042C367,0x00000000)
CLFS.SYS- Address 8042C367 base @ 8042B000 date stamp 4549acbc

Hi Sam, I have the same problem as what you describe on a friends
laptop, did you get any answers ?

one of my partitions were screwd due virtual cd driver
looks like vista dosnt like if hdd dosnt report right size for it

anyway, used partiotion table doctor 3.5 to fix it, lost few files
there too but no biggies

original vista that crashed didnt even locate on this messed partition

also what i did i removed vista boot files with vista boot pro to get
'clean' boot

bsod @ clfs.sys and with safemode it stopped on crcdisk.sys
