| | Reboot problem Hi, I have a random problem with rebooting. It happens every now and then but not all the time. I have Vista Ultimate and a ATI x1960 (7.5 drivers) with a ViewSonic 20" TFT full system details can be found here: http://pcspec.brion.co.uk When I choose "Restart" the PC will shut down then reboot. I get to the screen with the cycling green blob but when the screen blanks my monitor power light goes off and on, off and on... Until I fully power off from the wall switch this will then allow the PC to load properly. Vista does continue to load whilst the screen is going off/on as I can hear the startup sounds. This PC used to have Windows MCE installed on it and never had this problem. So this looks like a fault with Vista. I have the latest MS updates installed. Is there a fix? | | Re: Reboot problem I had something similar in XP though. I found the problem to be swollen capacitors on my graphics card. My problem only started this Tuesday after clean installing Vista, I have no other problems with graphics that I can detect. I have rebooted about 4 times this morning (Program installs and updates) and the problem has not shown it head. It is random to when it happens. -- Annie___ (VM BB L)________________________________ http://find-out-more.brion.me.uk - http://email-me.brion.me.uk |

MY X-fi has the latest from creativelabs. Which other drivers should I check? I have updated with MS Update. -- Annie___ (VM BB L)________________________________ http://find-out-more.brion.me.uk - http://email-me.brion.me.uk I'm a VM customer and NOT Virgin Media Technical Support! |
