Vista - Downloading Office Sevice Pack 3 on Vista and geting an Error Code

I was trying to update my office tools to Office Sevice Pack 3 on Vista, it
downloaded the update but as soon as it started to install an Error Code
80070641 came up. Do anyone know what that mean, and/or know what I need to
do? If you can help me out please feel free to post your input, or if you
have any questions please feel free to ask. Hope to hear from anyone, thank

I think you will find that Error Code 80070641 normally refers to a windows
update installer error. You need to ensure that the RPC is on.

Try the following:

click Start>Control Panel>System and Maintenance>Administrative
Tools>Services>Give User Account Control password or confirmation>Make sure
the service called "Remote Procedure Call (RPC) is on.

If not, perform the following steps below;

windows installer. >Scroll Down until you see "Windows Installer">Right
click>Properties>Under the General tab, make sure the

startup type is "Automatic". This will start the service when windows
starts. >Click OK>In the left-hand pane of the Services window, where it
describes the service, click start. You should now be good to go. Try to
install the updates again.

If the problem persists you have other problems with your installation.
