Compatibility Wizard

Is there anyway to get to the Compatibility Wizard other than going into
Help? I would like to make a shortcut to it to save time and sanity.

Thanks for the help

Re: Compatibility Wizard

Hello,

%systemroot%\System32\mshta.exe res://acprgwiz.dll/compatmode.hta
will do it.

Greetings,

RE: Compatibility Wizard

Why don't you right-click on the exe you are trying to install, left-click
properties and then select compatibility

Re: Compatibility Wizard

It is not the program I am trying to install, the program is already
installed and I want to run it as the administrator and the XP sp2 mode.
The only way I have found to do this is go into Help and type in
compatibility. From there I can open the Compatibility Wizard. This seems
to be the long way around to get to the Wizard.

Hi Jerry,

When you right click on the program's EXE or shortcut and click Properties, you then click the Compatibility tab to make your adjustments for the already installed program. That's what Mick meant. See screenshot below for an idea of what it looks like.

Hope this helps,
