| | offline problem Every now and again my laptop goes off line and I have to go into options and uncheck the off line box, sometimes more than once to get it back to go online, so that I can actually go on line. Never had this problem before in any computer only vista. Is this a bug or what? its quite annoying at times and why should it turn itself into off line when you havent checked anything yourself. |

| | RE: offline problem A computer goes offline for the most part when you lose your network connection. If you lose your connection only for a second or two it does not matter. What kind of laptop do you have? If it is a Dell, go to All Programs and click on Dell Wireless. Disable the setting that allows Dell to manage your network connections and let Windows manage them for you. If this does not solve your problem you can try updating the driver for your wireless connection. If you are using a modem or router you should check to see if they use software and if so you should update it. Have a nice day. C.B. |
