windows live messenger problems

I have the most recent version of windows live messenger installed on my
laptop. However, despite having no viruses or spyware on the computer (i do
quite a few scans) after so long in the day i get a message saying "you have
signed on to messenger on another computer, please sign in again" yet i'm not
signed on anywhere else. No one knows my password and i am able to get in to
recover my password, and then very soon after i sign back in to messenger,
the same thing happens again.

Re: windows live messenger problems

Hi Harrison,

Do you have more than one user account? If so, make sure you are signed out of Messenger for one user account before switching to another.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: windows live messenger problems

If all else fails, try resetting your password to the passport network. I
had this problem once, when I logged into a friends computer using MSN and
my credentials where saved.

goto http://www.passport.net and select Account Services from the left. From
their log in using the same credentials you use to log into Live Messenger,
and select change password.

Good Luck
