Menu selection color

How can i change the menu selection color from the standard vista light
blue?

I have set my menu selection color to Red for example, and in some
applications, when i do right clicks i have a red background, but in others
(the more vista looking applications) the selection color remains out of the
box blue.

An example is the start menu (vista start menu, dont know about the classic
start menu). No matter what color you set in the "Classic appearance
properties" > Advanced dialog, when you hover over items in the start menu,
its still the same old blue.

How do i change it?

Re: Menu selection color

Anywhere on a window? That doesnt work. I right clicked on my title bar and
i dont have that option. Maybe you mean click anywhere on the desktop.

I dont thibnk you understand my question. I know how to personalize, but my
problem is how do i change the menubar color?

This picture indicates that i have chosen blue as my selection color for
menu items;

This picture is an example of how it displays in some applications;

This picture is my start menu. Why is not not the same color i selected?;

RE: Menu selection color

That light cyan is sure annoying, isn't it? As far as I've been able to
determine you can't change it in Vista. It was a simple matter in earlier
versions of Windows but for some strange reason Microsoft seems to have
decided you can't change it......not to mention, can't see it most of the
time.
