You should look into the following:
Since your access is wireless, make sure that you don't have a 2.4GHz
wireless base station or handset near your computer. If you do and you
can't move it, there are adjustments you can make to the channel that your
wireless adapter listens to. In the config of the wireless card, if you are
on Channel 2, adjust to Channel 4 or 7. It might not be listed as channel,
but by Mhz. Adjust to another frequency and see if that helps. I had the
same issues and when I made those adjustments, everything worked out fine.
If those don't work, you could have a faulty NIC card. If that isn't the
problem, then you could possibly have a virus!
It should be one of the above.
