| | Help! With Error Message "Need Interactive Window Station" My friend has a brand new laptop with Vista on it, and is trying to install something and it wont let her intall it, it install all the soft ware but the driver, it says there is an error and needs "Interactive Window Station" and cant continue, what is that, and how do we fix it, it wont let her install the printer/cutter. I have read others have had this problem with things such as a opticle mouse, and wireless keyboard stuff. But this it hooked up with a USB so shouldnt be a problem, and there is a special VIsta driver out for this product. And I know others have it up and running, so the problem lies with Vista I believe. What can be done to fix it, or who do I contact, this shouldnt be happening on a new laptop. Sharon |

| | Re: Help! With Error Message "Need Interactive Window Station" Hello, which printer is it? Have you tried manual installation of the printer driver and did you try it using Windows Update? (Control Panel -> Device Manager -> Right-click your printer -> Properties -> tab "Driver" -> Update Driver ... -> Search automatically...) Greetings, P. | | Re: Help! With Error Message "Need Interactive Window Station" Hello, Actually, the printer/Cutter is a Craft ROBO, it is a laser cutter, that if you put a ink pen in will print as well, but cuts paper. but this works with XP just fine, but Graphtec has released a special driver just for Vista, and others have downloaded it for vista and it works fine, MY problem is with Vista, and it stops loading when it gets to the dirver part, I can see all the soft ware, I can pull up all the software, I can open all the GSD files and see and edit them, I just cant cut them, as I dont have the driver installed to cut them. becasue the "IWS" error prevents me from installing the driver, I had read on another board that you had to leave it plugged in and restore the system, well, I dont want to go that route, Im hopeing that some one can help me find a better, easier way to fix this.
