| | Genealogyprogram Winfamily in Vista I use Winfamily genealogy program. Now I will go over to Vista and I asked if Winfamily ver 6.02 can run in Vista. The answer was: You need to install some plug-ins from MicroSoft before WinFamily 6.02 can operate OK. Ver. 6.02 was not ment for Vista in basic. Then I asked: What plug-ins? The answer was: I`m not able to say, but you need to search MicroSoft/usergroups yourself cause we`re soon leaving verion 6.02 and enter the new WinFamily 7. No help from there. Does anyone know what I should do to run Winfamily in Vista? Regards, Paul Menso |

| | Re: Genealogyprogram Winfamily in Vista Did you ask other users or the Winfamily manufacturer? If the manufacturer does not know...perhaps it is time to try a product from a different manufacturer. Other users of Winfamily should be able to help. Also try Google for a Vista solution. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar http://www.dts-l.org "Menso" <Menso@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:88D06B7E-6F8E-4623-A82A-C5939E97ACDB@microsoft.com... >I use Winfamily genealogy program. | | Re: Genealogyprogram Winfamily in Vista I just downloaded and installed Winfamily 6.02 in Vista Home Premium. It installed ok (trial mode) and seems to work ok, but I am not familiar with it. I did import one of my .ged files, but don't know what to do with it.... I use Rootsmagic. I had it installed on my XP computer, upgraded to Vista, and it works fine. http://www.rootsmagic.com/ "Menso" <Menso@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:88D06B7E-6F8E-4623-A82A-C5939E97ACDB@microsoft.com... >I use Winfamily genealogy program.
