Re: What is the problem with Vista and external USB hard drives?

wow! you are such a liar. i read some of your posts, and noticed you
replied to those who did not use capitalization, punctuation, etc. but i
have come to the realization that some of you fake ass MVPs only respond to
those who don't have gripes with MICRO****. those of us who do, you try to
attack us. put it to a test and i guarantee you i will outdo you any day on
your teaching test. get over it. this is too crazy ... even for me! and
don't say another word to me.

Re: What is the problem with Vista and external USB hard drives?

Jim:

that's one of the first things that i did. the USB plug is working fine as
i tried it on other devices. the USB hubs all work with those other devices.
the hard drive works when using my old XP system without any problems. you
do know, i am sure, that there are many (and i do mean "many") people who
have the exact same problem that i am having? truth is, i just may need to
wait until microsoft issues a 750mb service pack (i'm exaggerating here) to
fix a lot of these problems.

i'm still having problems with screen freezes and the infamous blue screen
from hell. ugh! i'm going to have to go with OS issues. i've done too much
to rectify these problems. that's my take on this.

I don't need perfection. I certainly don't type perfectly either. But
I try to do my best.

When you are asking people for help, it would be wise for you to make
it as easy for people to help you as possible. If you aren't willing
to take the extra trouble to do that, don't be surprised when they
aren't willing to take the extra trouble to help you.

Re: What is the problem with Vista and external USB hard drives?

if you are MVPs, why would you be taking the "extra trouble" to answer a
question that HAS punctuation, but no capitalization? makes no sense and you
know it. my post may not have been broken down in paragraphs, but it made
sense. just admit it. i'm sure that if i had sang "praises" to Vista, your
responses would have been significantly different. i read, speak and type
clear english. you don't need to use a capital letter to understand that!

as you are reading this, i'm sure you have figured out that i am not
changing the way i type for you or anybody else. i have been coming on this
forum for many years and have not had a problems with me not using
capitalization just to find an answer to problems with microsoft software.
bottom line, you don't have an answer. admit it and quit it! let's can all
discussions right now (you and i).

have an awesome day!

LOL! I have no rules. It's your prerogative to post any way you like.
And it's mine to answer whatever questions I like.

There's nothing for me to get over. I have a limited amount of time to
spend on newsgroups, and I can't answer every question posted. If I
have trouble reading a message, and it takes extra time for me to try,
it quickly gets skipped and I go on to the next one.

The only point here is that *you* are the person looking for help. You
seem to have my posts in this thread as an attack on you, but they
were actually meant to help you get the help you look for. If you post
in a manner that makes it easy for people to help you, you enlarge the
group of potential helpers. If you don't, you diminish their number.
It's entirely your choice. I don't care at all.

Re: What is the problem with Vista and external USB hard drives?

this is comical.

you just said "I have a limited amount of time to spend on newsgroups, and I
can't answer every question posted. If I have trouble reading a message, and
it takes extra time for me to try, it quickly gets skipped and I go on to the
next one."

come again?

you said something rude to me to start with. not to mention you have replied
to me more than once. yet, you have a limited amount of time to spend on
newsgroups. now ask yourself, "does that make sense?" hypocrite! learn
some manners. some of you jackasses need a reality check. your stank
attitudes just proves how big headed you are -- heads so big that not even
you and these MVPs can carry it! it's just easier to be rude to a poster if
she doesn't use capitalization. you wouldn't do it to a female relative of
yours, so don't do it to me. and you care, that's why you keep responding.

thanx for tomorrow's laughs when i share my findings on here with the guys
in the IT department!
