You mean YOU'RE not going to change. Too stupid to use a real news reader?

You may think you have superior punctuation skills but you certainly don't
demonstrate it. Your writing is what's juvenile.

Ah... the Ubuntu Ultimate Fanboi instructing others how to post. "...so when
people with real news readers..." man... how self absorbed can you get? Try
reading the Usenet rules on OT posts.

I really wish I could help you further with this.
Have you contacted the manufacturer ?
Maybe they are aware of the problem and have a fix.
I share your pain though, having had nightmares setting up my old printers.
Had to download vista software and drivers for them and over 200 megs on a
dialup connection
was not pleasant. :-)

actually, my writing is not at all juvenile. i just choose to write this way
here. whatever. i can argue with you all day, fag, but i'd rather not. you
gay posters are just that -- GAY! you only want to insult people. a real
man would just ignore a post if they were not interested in answering the
question. mannerless pigs. get a life - s****ersin.

Re: What is the problem with Vista and external USB hard drives?

queen, try a newsgroup called aus.computers
If your ISP's newserver doesn't carry it, try Google Groups and
create an account.

I have always found the advice from some of the regulars in there to
be very good, they have helped me several times. What they don't know isn't
worth
knowing. In other words, there is no solution to what they don't know.
There are some eccentric ones in the group but don't they all have em. :-)

Geez, we are a tad touchy over this, aren't we?

OK, I forced myself to go back and read your original post. (Which would
have been much easier to read had one simply broken it up into a couple of
paragraphs instead of one -long- paragraph.)

Although these are basic troubleshooting steps, I saw no reference to them
in your original post so I must ask: Have you tried different USB ports?
Have you tried a "known good" USB cable?

Hello,

I was having the exact same problem, and was about to throw my computer out the window but installing SP2 has solved the problem.

Hope that helps
