| | Shadow Copies (Previous versions) of files do not work? Hi everybody! Just another one problem and question if I do everything correctly or no. I've read a lot about the so-called Shadow Copies (previous versions) od files, documents etc. But I can't figure out how to make it fork on my system. Here is my situation: I use Vista Ultimate Russian so function should work for this version of Windows. I have some Excel file that I work with every day making some everyday changes to it. It's located inside subfolder in My Documents folder. I've enabled Automatic restore points for both my logical drives. BUT when I go to properties of my Excel file and select the tab Previous Versions it says me that there is NO previous versions for this file. For several months I work with this file every day changing it but it never showed me any previous versions. I specially played with other files testing the feature but also no success. The system restore function itself works well. |

| | Re: Shadow Copies (Previous versions) of files do not work? Hi! No. As I've said I have no problems with system restore in general (if I dual-boot system restore won't work as it's described in help) but I don't use XP. May be this matters - when I first installed Vista it was dual-boot but then I removed XP and reformatted XP's volume so now I don't have dual-boot. And once again System Restore works Ok but Shadow Copies simply don't work...
