Re: 80073715

I had the same problem, and I finally solved it be going to Control Panel /
Programs and Features

Then on the left, click View Installed Updates.

I selected the first one in the list (because it had the newest date), and
Right Clicked it and chose Uninstall.

Then it asked to reboot, I did and when it came back from rebooting I was
able to run Windows Update.

If you have any troubles with that, then read this
Now, I did do the stuff that others were talking about like deleting the
SoftwareDistribution folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution So if you have
any trouble with my solution above, you can try doing this first. Oh yeah
you have to Stop the Windows Update Service before you can delete this
folder, and don't forget to restart it.

Re: 80073715

Thank you. Your genious idea solved my problem. I followed your instruction
to delete the latest installed update from the control panel, then reboot, go
back to Windows Update, Check Update. Finally KB935807 was installed. It took
4 days to solve this problem. I checked and followed all of instructions on
Vista Community. Nothing was helpful.
Thank you for your solution.

Re: 80073715

I have two questions for you b4 I do this:

1) does it have to be the last update, or can it be any update?
2) did you (or were you able to) download the update you uninstalled
afterwards?
