| | New windows opens at small (default) size How can I set a new window to always open full screen? Example, when I open a page it is where I've set it; full screen. If I click a link within that page, the new window opens at the default small size. -- Peter Toronto, Canada XP Pro SP2 x 2 + Vista Ultimate |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: New windows opens at small (default) size Hi Peter, Are you referring to Internet Explorer or some other web browser? If so, pop-ups tend to mess up the window size since they are usually opened in a small window. Vista will remember that (sometimes) and open like that again. Shawn |

| | Re: New windows opens at small (default) size Well thanks but that link is archaic and doesn't have an answer. I also posted to 3 groups as I wasn't sure if it was a Vista problem or an IE7 problem. -- Peter Toronto, Canada XP Pro SP2 x 2 + Vista Ultimate "PA Bear" <PABearMVP@gmail.com> wrote in message news:uzvtWNevHHA.1204@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > Excessive crossposting eliminated. > > See http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/archive...new_window_max > -- > ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) > MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) > AumHa VSOP & Admin; DTS-L.org > > Peter wrote: >> How can I set a new window to always open full screen? Open such a link. Don't use the maximize button. Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen. Close all other IE windows. Close the stretched window. If that doesn't do it try the REG file here: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/IEFAQ.htm#IEMax -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM Do not send mail. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: New windows opens at small (default) size Peter, If you would like to use the maximize button again instead of just dragging it it to full screen, then go to this link below and it will show you how to reset Vista's view settings and increase it's view cache size. It allows Vista to remember again. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/70819-windows-explorer-folder-view-settings.html?ltr=W Hope this helps, Shawn |
