| | Get "file already exists" on trying to save a new file (after rena I save copies of monthly bills I receive online and don't want ot retype the entire file name each time I save, so on trying to save a pdf, for example, I click on an existing file name (e.g. company_20070111to20070210.pdf) then in the file name field on the "Save As ..." dialog box. That changes the file name to be saved from the cryptic web server generated name to the name of the existing file I chose. After doing that I then edit the name in the file name field and change it, for example, to company_20070311to20070410.pdf then I click the button to save. Vista alerts me that the file already exists, even though a file with the new name does not exist. It appears to be still referencing the file name I originally clicked and changed. This occcurs in Vista Ultimate and Home Premium. Never experienced this in XP. -- D70neRd ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
