Explorer stuck in an endless loop of ending task and restarting, hindering
your ability to use your computer?

Well, the problem lies with a piece of spyware that cleverly disguises
itself as a component from windows.

TO REMOVE THIS:



Boot your computer in normal mode. As soon as the explorer error happens
the first time, press ctrl + alt + del and bring up the task manager. (or
press ctrl + shift + esc)

Go to the processes tab and END TASK on explorer.exe. If the dialogue says
that explorer is restarting after you end task, press cancel to ensure
explorer does not start back up. This will stabilize the system.

Go to the application tab, and press new task. Type “C:� (without quotes)
and click ok or press enter. When the window opens, press the word
“computer� in the address bar.

Click “uninstall or change a program� at the top, underneath the address bar.

Arrange the programs however you feel best, but my suggestion would be by
date and look around for the date nearest to the one on which you first
noticed the problem.

There will be a program called “Windows Safety/Security Alert� with a blank
spot in the publisher column. That is the culprit. Double click it or
select it and click uninstall.

At the box that comes up, it will say “Your computer is about to restart,
close all applications.� It will have an X in the top right corner and a
close button in the bottom. CLICK NOTHING. Allow the computer to restart.

If the problem was not resolved, try the above steps again, especially if
there was an error the first time. If the program does not exist, look for
anything to the affect with the word windows in the title and a blank
publisher.

There you have it, no more problems.

**NOTE: This program usually comes bundled with another program called “Spy
Locked.� This is a very tedious piece of spyware to remove and may require
that you take the computer to a local computer repair center to have it
removed, but you just saved yourself the trouble of reloading programs!**

A simpler solution is to install SpyBot Search & Destroy, get the updates for
it, then run it.
If it finds it, but can not delete it, don't let SpyBot use it own form of
safe mode, run it again in Vista's safe mode.

How is one to install spybot if explorer keeps restarting. This IS a simple
solution. All it is is uninstalling ONE program. And I gave the steps to
getting to the device manager without needing explorer to run...

How is one to install spybot when Explorer doesn't work? The computer will
continue to close spybot's window everytime windows explorer restarts.

Did YOU read what I posted at all? I gave the instructions to allow them to
get to the uninstall panel WITHOUT it causing any errors. You wakeup.
