| | Licensing I built my own computer a few years ago. I am currently looking to obtain Vista and learn it. Since I built my own pc, is it legal for me to buy an OEM license and run it on the computer......after I do the necessary upgrades? |

I'm sure you could talk Microsoft into letting you move the key if you upgrade in the future, but probably not too often. If you can afford it, get a retail version. ![]() |

The components can be on multiple receipts; not necessarily all on one receipt nor on the same receipt as the qualifying Windows XP/Office 2003 that you purchased.
