| | Screen Saver not starting I'm using an HP Pavilion laptop with Vista32. I've set my screen saver settings as I would like, but it doesn't come on after a specified time. What am I missing? Thanks for your help. HB |

| | Re: Screen Saver not starting Try changing the time setting to another period and see if it performs. You can preview it there of course. | | Re: Screen Saver not starting I tried that and it still won't come on. I have it set to use my photos as a screen saver and for it to come on after 2 min. of idle time. --HB "Ian" <igb123@talktalk.net> wrote in message news:5468BE5B-DE13-469B-B26C-F841AB1B492C@microsoft.com... > Try changing the time setting to another period and see if it performs. > You can preview it there of course. > > > "HB" <mhbrest@att.net> wrote in message > news:u6bGr$wwHHA.560@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... >> I'm using an HP Pavilion laptop with Vista32. | | Re: Screen Saver not starting I have found programs running in the backgroumd such as searching for updates, etc. that cause this problem. Also, a cordless mouse caused the problem on my desktop. Try hitting CTRL-ALT-DELETE and go to System Processes and see if anything looks like a "running process" and try deleting them one at a time and then test the attempt by setting your screensaver to say one minute and waiting. | | Re: Screen Saver not starting I have a Dell with Windows Vista and got Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse specifically supported by Vista, but my screensaver isn't working either. Was there something specific in system processes that I should look for? "Jim" wrote: > I have found programs running in the backgroumd such as searching for > updates, etc. that cause this problem.
