Display problems

Hi All

I have a wierd problem with Vista or maybe display drivers. System is an
intel E6700, 2G RAM, NX8500GT video card, Vista Home premium running a 24"
Delll LCD on VGA. Problem is about every 10th boot the system boots up ok
but the desktop is all wrong, imagine splitting the desktop into two havles
left and right and then displaying the halves in the opposite half, the
system works fine still, the mouse runs off the edge of the monitor and
appears on the other half etc, you can shut the machine down and reboot and
all is well. I have done all of the vista updates and have downloaded both
the latest drivers from my card manufacturer and from nvidia but nothing
changes, any help would be good.........

Sounds like a video card driver issue. Do you have any down-level versions
of the video card driver that you can reinstall and see if the same thing
occurs?
