| | run option Does anyone know how to add the "RUN" command option back into the menu? I recently bought a computer loaded with windows basic, and found the "run command" is no longer there. major hassle at times without it. Thanks Dan |

The Search box works just as good, if not better. I know it's a habit to use the Run box, I did it all the time in W2K and XP (and still do when I'm on a box running one of those OS's) but the Vista search box works great. Yeah, it doesn't keep a history of cmds, but you should give the search box a try. As others have responded with instructions on how to re-enable the Run box, I won't delve into that. I will say that WinKey-R still pops it, though... Lang |

You can add it back to the start menu if you want, but personally if I want the run dialog, I hold down the windows key and press R.
