| | System information inside, help on reintall of Vista requested I went through a long process with some very helpful people on this site to attempt to get my Windows Media Player up and running again. It was seemingly unsuccessful though I would like to thank all those who assisted me, especially dean-dean. Now we have determined that I should reinstall Vista however its not that simple. I didn't make a recovery CD and my system came already installed. I have a partitioned drive that I believe has all my backup info. Here is my system info as suggested and if anyone could help me I would be very appreciative. Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard Model: a6030n Processor: AMD Athalon 64, Dual Core RAM: 2Gigs System type: 32-bit OS |

| | Re: System information inside, help on reintall of Vista requested Is you system very old because you should have been supplied with a repair CD at least that will run the update from your HD. As you have an HP did you buy at PC world? if so take it back and complain. Do you know of anyone else who might just lend you their copy? -- Ian "Nipstudent" <Nipstudent@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:11407B2B-4C53-49F3-A980-6FE39B536A05@microsoft.com... >I went through a long process with some very helpful people on this site to > attempt to get my Windows Media Player up and running again.
