| | once iTunes looses the input focus, the CDROM device disappears inthe iTunes application Dear all, I am running iTunes 7.3.1.3 and Windows Vista Home Premium on an HP Pavilion laptop. When importing a CD into iTunes and minimize iTunes (or click on another application so that the input focus moves), the importing is interrupted and iTunes does not seem to know the CDROM anymore. Once, iTunes has the input focus back, it asks me, whether I want to import the CD and starts from the beginning. That cannot be the wanted behavior? Help is most appreciated. Regards, Holger |

| | RE: once iTunes looses the input focus, the CDROM device disappears in I know this won't help your problem but it is not normal iTunes behavior. I am using the same version itune and it continues to import even minimized or if another application is started. -- Paul "Holger Birkmeyer" wrote: > Dear all, > > I am running iTunes 7.3.1.3 and Windows Vista Home Premium on an HP > Pavilion laptop. > > When importing a CD into iTunes and minimize iTunes (or click on another > application so that the input focus moves), the importing is interrupted > and iTunes does not seem to know the CDROM anymore. > > Once, iTunes has the input focus back, it asks me, whether I want to > import the CD and starts from the beginning. > > That cannot be the wanted behavior? > > Help is most appreciated. > > Regards, > Holger > |

| | Re: once iTunes looses the input focus, the CDROM device disappearsin Thank you for the comment, Paul. I have reinstalled iTunes and now it is working fine. The installer complained, that the Windows autorun feature was switched off and switched it back on. I assume, the funny behavior of iTunes was somehow related to that... Thank you, Holger PaulB wrote: > I know this won't help your problem but it is not normal iTunes behavior.
