RE: Vista Network List service error

Anyone figure this out? I think I am opertaing in the same area of problems.

Laptop takes about a year and a half to open network sharing center and then
I get a message stating "Server Execution Failed"

After some poking around I saw that the "Network List Service" was not
started, even though it was set to Auto. When I attempt to start manually I
get the Error 1450: Insufficient system resources exist to complete the
requested service"

I shut down as many other services as I could to see if it resolved it, not
luck. Any thoughts? Do specs matter. Laptop came with Vista. Should work OK.

Re: Vista Network List service error

Does your system meet the minimum requirements for Vista to run?

Re: Vista Network List service error

Yes it does. It shipped with it actually.

After some digging I found that process was linked to an administrator
account and with the Admin account disabled by default it would not let it
lauch. I enabled it throught the command line (as that was my only option)
did not set a password, and then logged back in on the user account and it
appears to have fixed my issue for now.

Thanks for the help and interest.

Re: Vista Network List service error

I am having the same problem with my wife's laptop. She is the only user so the admin account is the only one. My network list service has also stopped.

What did you mean by enabled it through the command line? How do I do that?

Thanks.
