It's nice that you gave us all that information but you didn't tell us:

1. What happens when you try - any error messages? If so, please quote
the exact text.
2. Do you have Excel installed? If no Excel, do you have the Excel viewer?

Another alternative would be for you to post your question in the Excel
newsgroup where you'll have the attention of Excel experts. When you
post, make sure you include the version of Excel in which the file was
created and the version of Excel in which you are trying to open it.
