Two firewalls?

Since Vista and my Norton antivirus both have firewalls should I turn one
off or leave them both on.

Re: Two firewalls?

Cancel my question. I was checking my security and noticed that the Vista
firewall was turned off so I turned it on. A bit later I was asked if I
wanted to use Norton firewall and said yes. Then went back and checked Vista
firewall and it is off again. So I guess one is enough.

Hi Buchan,

Yes, you should only use one Firewall and one Antivirus program at a time. Otherwise they could conflict with each other. Spyware or Adware monitoring programs can usually have multiple ones running together.

Re: Two firewalls?

It is never a good idea to run two firewalls or two antivirus programs.
