| | Vista won't sleep with IR receiver plugged in to USB Hello. My computer immediately wakes from sleep, but only does this while I have the Microsoft IR receiver plugged into a USB jack. I have verified this to be the cause through powercfg commands and the event viewer. In device manager, the USB root hubs are not set to wakeup (strange too that that option is grayed out for these devices). My computer also has a sleep TargetState of 4, but wakes from an EffectiveState of 5. Anyone have any ideas for these problems? Thanks.
