| | Vista and Windows 2000 Server Does Windows Vista connect to a Windows 2000 Server? I have a Windows 2000 domain Server in my company, and I already have 15 computers with XP perfectly registered on the domain. Now I have the oportunity to buy 5 new Business Vista-based computers, and I want to know if they will work with my Windows 2000 server domain enviroment. If so, should I do something different on the Vista computer to register them?, or should I change something in my server? Thanks a lot, Piller |

| | Re: Vista and Windows 2000 Server Hello, I do not have any concrete facts on my hands here, but my company also has a Windows 2000 based infrastructure (Windows 2000 desktops and Windows 2000 domain controllers etc) and we have a pilot plan for migrating to Windows Vista. The Vista boxes are on the domain without any problems. So I can make a safe assumption that you wont have any problems. -- Anando Microsoft MVP- Windows Shell/User http://www.microsoft.com/mvp Microsoft Certified Professional http://www.microsoft.com/mcp My Blog http://www.anando.org/blog "Piller" <Piller@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:14E15527-4F61-4374-896E-4C0C447DDB16@microsoft.com... > Does Windows Vista connect to a Windows 2000 Server? > > I have a Windows 2000 domain Server in my company, and I already have 15 > computers with XP perfectly registered on the domain. > > Now I have the oportunity to buy 5 new Business Vista-based computers, and I > want to know if they will work with my Windows 2000 server domain enviroment. > If so, should I do something different on the Vista computer to register > them?, or should I change something in my server? > > Thanks a lot, > > Piller |
