3D Flip / Switch Between Windows Icon - Help!

Dear group:

I am having no luck finding a solution on getting my 3D Flip to work. It
was working great and then somehow I accidentally deleted the original file
and now all I have is a shortcut to the original quick launch button. Now
when I click the icon in quick launch, it just shows me a box of all the
programs I have open?

Any suggestions on how to get the nice cascading 3D windows back? Is there
somewhere I can go to download a fresh copy of the file? Let me know when
you get a chance.

Thanks in advance!

FD

You can get a copy of the original file here:

"C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick
Launch\Window Switcher.lnk"

This location is normally hidden in Explorer (you won't see it).

To put it on your own Quick launch toolbar, go to a command prompt and enter
these commands:

C:\>cd C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick
Launch

C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick
Launch>copy "C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Quick Launch\Window Switcher.lnk"

You should see a mesage "1 file(s) copied." if/when the file is successfully
copied,. Then type "exit" to leave the command prompt. Replace "<user>" with
your real user name (of course! :-).

The "Switch between Windows" icon should now re-appear in your Quick launch
menu.

Hope it helps,

Re: 3D Flip / Switch Between Windows Icon - Help!

Those directions don't work for me. Whenever I try to type those commands
into a command prompt, I get a variety of error messages saying that various
pathways don't exist.

The shortcut icon exists if I do a search for it, but I can't get it to work
either.

Thanks.
