Compressed v(zipped) folder/default

I'm trying to make my "compressed (zipped) folder" my default for my
downloads. It's not working out. And now I can't even find the "compressed
(zipped) folder...that was originally located in the "temp" folder??? Can
anyone help me? Please... Thanks!

Re: Compressed v(zipped) folder/default

Hi,

To start with, you shouldn't put anything in the temp folder, that is for
the system to use and is not designed to hold anything of permanence.
Running disk cleanup will delete anything in there more than a week old.
Vista, like previous versions of Windows, will generally always return to
the last download location used. Set your personal compressed folder in
either your user profile, or in the public profile (where it will be
available to all users of the system), then download something to it.
