| | Missing files A program I am trying to install needs to reference a module in the Windows\system32\DriverStore\FileRepository folder. This DriverStore folder is empty on my computer (which is running Vista Home Premium). Is there a way to restore the missing files? |

| | Re: Missing files The Windows\system32\DriverStore folder should be far from empty. Are you sure this is the case? On my computer, the DriverStore folder has almost 9000 files in 595 folders. I don't think, either, that the System File Checker will restore those files. Can you re-install Vista, using the Upgrade option? This will maintain your user settings and programs. See "Upgrade procedure" in this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918884 "Eugene Jolly" <ejolly1@cox.net> wrote in message news:u0A9oSyzHHA.5408@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > A program I am trying to install needs to reference a module in the > Windows\system32\DriverStore\FileRepository folder.
