office professional edition 2003. I insert the installation disc, go through
the steps, everything works except the outlook. A MSG pops up and says there
was an error and to please install office again ...which i have 3 times but

Re: error installing office outlook professional edition 2003....

uninstall it and do a custom installation of office again
turn off your antivirus programs, install only the things you need like
office and word...

see if this helps at all...

also you might try to copy the contents of the cd on to your hard drive and
trying to install from the hard drive.. perhaps your disk is scratched?

Re: error installing office outlook professional edition 2003....

Hi Helen

Did you by any chance have 2007 Trial version installed. You can only have 1 instance of Outlook installed on your computer. You will need to remove all remnants of the Trial version according to the instructions on the help pages that you have. This issue comes up when there is another version of Outlook installed or some parts of it left over on your system Best thing that you can do is to post this over to the microsoft.public.general newsgroup for a more comprehensive answers. Post all relative details including if you had a Trial version.
