| | BUG in Vista disk clean-up utility: current user temporary files The built-in disk clean-up utility in Windows Vista has a bug: it doesn't remove the CURRENT user temporary files, if you choose to remove ALL USERS temporary files. Reproduction steps: 1. open the clean-up utility and choose to remove ALL USERS temporary files 2. confirm the UAC prompt .... now go to c:\users\yourUserName\AppData\Local\Temp and it's still full of files! You can remove these files only if you choose to remove the CURRENT USER temporary files |

I try to explain me again: 1) command: clean-up ALL temporary files result: all temporary files deleted, except my user's temporary files Instead this works fine: 2) command: clean-up my user's temporary files result: my user's temporary files deleted. if 2) works fine, then 1) has a bug. |

CURRENT temporary files are still in use, and the option is there to remove them if you so desire.. this is a safeguard, not a bug.. Let me explain real slow. Your user temp files are the most important one's. As a safeguard Vista will not delete these unless you indicate directly by choosing them first. |

YOU WRONG, because Vista disk clean-up utility asks you if you want delete ALL users files or just only your files. And so if I select ALL users files, I expect it will delete ALL users files. And deleting my temporary users files is NOT dangerous because this clean up utility doesn't remove 7 days old files and so it doesn't cause problems to running programs. |

| | Re: BUG in Vista disk clean-up utility: current user temporary fil BillD, The situation was explained to you more than once and you have received the correct answer. If you cannot comprehend what they are saying you should just drop the subject. It IS NOT a bug. It is a safeguard for people like you who don't understand what they are doing. I am not being disrespectful to you. I am not being a smart-ass about it. Your interpretation is incorrect and until you realize this you are wasting everone's time. Have a nice day. C.B. |

| | Re: BUG in Vista disk clean-up utility: current user temporary fil This is great, listen to what you are all saying: If some button says "Eat all stupid people" and you are stupid, what do you expect will happen? Exactly a bug-notice will appear... Nice day to you too.
