You are not able to remove IE from any Windows OS. It is an integral part of the operating system . What you can do is to remove the shortcut for IE from your Desktop. Also you might want to remember that IE is needed to get your Updates from Widows Update.

I'm also sure there is some similar way to remove it from vista, just
noone has figured it out yet.
