Re: Impossible to get rid of ie7???

Of course you can get rid of IE7... the only thing that is NOT possible is a
Vista that is not crap.

But there is a catch, you have to remove it from the vista disk image and
create a new one, then install from that new IE7-less disk

The tool to do this is called vlite from www.vlite.net

you can remove almost anything...including windows media player media
center, defenter and many other things that make vista the
horrible bloated monster it is.

HOWEVER>>>

Many programs require the IE technology since they use parts of IE to
function, and without it you would not be able to use those.

If you do not care about that... you can experiment with the above....

If you are a newbie I suggest you just ignore Ie7 and use firefox, maxthon
or avantbrowser.

Oh dear there is always one who wants to tell folk, if you learn to tinker
you can take anything apart. The bulk of people who come here for help want
straight forward advice, not a course on piracy.

That is why I added the last sentence

" If you are a newbie I suggest you just ignore Ie7 and use firefox, maxthon
or avantbrowser."
