| | after closing the pc down, it starts the moment i touch the mouse or keyboard. Have a brandnew vista home premium desktop pc at hand. Even when set to close down instead of go into sleepmode (in advanced power saving settings), it keeps rebooting whenever i touch the mouse. What setting do i miss? I want the pc to close completly as we were used to hen using the xp machine. thx for all tips |

There is usually a message on the first boot screen instructing you to hit a specific key in order to enter setup. When your system boots, make note of that and if you are unable to move fast enough, reboot, hit the key as instructed. In the bios was a whole range of 'wake ons' enabled. Switching them to disabled, solved the problem. |
